In case you haven’t seen it already, Taken by Darkness is slated for release later this month. Book 6 is in edits and book 7 is nearing the 75% mark. Since the Netherworld series is set to only include 7 books total that leaves me with the burning question: What comes after the Netherworld?
I found that, while writing the series, I left myself with a ton of unanswered questions. What ever happened to Rhiannon, the fae princess who betrayed her own people when she saved Liam and Heidi in Up in Flames? What about Alex from Once Bitten and Wild and Untamed? That poor guy was covering everyone’s ass and cleaning up their messes when they couldn’t handle it themselves. He deserves a happy ending, too.
I hate to break it to you, but the questions will only skyrocket after reading Taken by Darkness with the warlocks of Locke Island and book 6 with those in and around Boston. You all know I love at least a little bit of a cliffhanger, so brace yourselves… **cue the maniacal laughter**
Okay, don’t cuss me out. I have good news! I intend to answer all those questions. Rhiannon? Check. Alex? Double check. All of those still coming in books 5, 6, and 7? No worries, I got you covered.
No promises on when the first of these books will be released, but I guarantee it won’t be until after book 7 comes out. I’m still in the outlining process and if I released Rhiannon’s story before book 7, I’d ruin the ending of the series and well, that’s just not cool.
What I do want to know is: WHO DO YOU WANT TO READ ABOUT? Rhiannon? Alex? Ben? Travis? Pecora? Some random cashier who wasn’t more than a blip on the page?
In addition to the Netherworld spinoff series, I’ve also started work on a completely unrelated open-ended sci fi romance series. I’ll post more about that one once I’m cemented in what exactly I’m doing with it. What I can say is that each story is looking to be between 40-50k words (for comparison purposes the Netherworld books are between 55-80k). The first one will hopefully be released before the end of the year.
So, hang in there and be ready for the onslaught of books I start throwing at you. Also, be prepared if I need to take a month off here and there between releases because OMG words can be hard for smart-making after you’ve sat in front of a computer for fifteen hours straight.
PS: I’m also working on a newsletter that’ll feature exclusive content as well as information on upcoming releases, so if you’re interested…
